Let's be a part of a "Sharing Revolution"

The sole mission is unveil the value of food that is wasted in community and homes.

“We are reaching the ecological limits that our planet can bear, and when we chop down forests, as we are every day, to grow more and more food, when we extract water from depleting water reserves, when we emit fossil fuel emissions in the quest to grow more and more food, and then we throw away so much of it, we have to think about what we can start saving.”

With Foodतंत्र, there's less waste and fewer people picking through dumpsters: a win-win.

The idea popped up when after a get together the hosts Shivani Panwar, Kashmira Yadav and Megha Kedia had so much on their food counter which was not worth to be thrown away. They went in search of someone who might want to take this food but it went all in vain. That’s when they thought that this might be a common problem and an app would provide a perfect a solution to it. This led to the birth of Foodतंत्र : sharing food, sharing lives.

You're stuffed. You can't take another bite, but there's so much left on your plate.

You hate the idea of throwing out food, but also don't want to be eating the same leftovers for the next few days. We understand. You want to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels and fertilizer as well. We also understand that.

Snap a picture of what you can't eat, name it, and share the rest of your meal. Some one in need is waiting for one such donation. Fire up Foodतंत्रand make your leftover available. This way you can help sort the problems of food wastage and food scarcity both in one go.

The Idea is...

For leftover takers

You're hungry. Or you want to help those who are hungry. We understand.

You also care about reducing waste, helping the ones in need and relocating food from where there is surplus to where there is scarcity. We also understand those things.

Simply fire up Foodतंत्र, view the available leftovers around you, make your selection, and arrange for pick-up or delivery. If you are the one who is helping the surplus reach the most needy plates, you are doing a one of a kind job.
